Hi! My name is Jennifer, and I am the creator of Words with Jennifer, a book-themed lifestyle blog. I am a voracious reader and a grateful fan of writers.
I was born in New York (the state, not the city) but I grew up in Virginia. I have been married to Scott for 18 years and we have two children. I worked in sales and marketing for a vacation resort until our second child was born. Shortly after that, we made a cross-country move for my husband’s job. We now call the Pacific Northwest our home.
While you’ll normally find me with my nose in a book, every Sunday during the NFL season, I’m parked in front of the tv looking for a well-played game of football. My passion for football is almost as strong as my passion for books. While I have some allegiance to the Seattle Seahawks, I’m more interested in watching a competitive game regardless of who’s playing.
You can also find me burning through various podcasts on writing, business, and marketing as I work to get in 10,000 steps a day, either through a walk in the neighborhood, a hike by the lake, or sometimes, laps around my backyard. (You can find my favorite podcasts here.)
I am so passionate about books and reading. For me, reading is the best way to learn. It is the best way to recharge. It is the best form of entertainment. It is the best way to experience new things.
Ok, I might sound a little fanatic. Sometimes YouTube videos offer better hair tutorials and reading about Paris is a less-than-adequate substitute for strolling down the Champs-Élysées. But reading is as vital to me as breathing. So I hope I can help you experience the same benefits I get from books. And I hope you will trust me to recommend books that might help you and make your life a bit easier.
